Girlfriend: Hey, whatsup?
Boyfriend: Nothing much, just celebrating out with friends.
Girlfriend: Celebrating what?
Boyfriend: I got a job.
Girlfriend: WHAT!!! That’s awesome 
, when?
Boyfriend: I got a call yesterday night.
Girlfriend: Ohh, why didn’t you inform me, I was waiting for your call.
Boyfriend: I got busy.
Girlfriend: listen, I have been meaning to ask you something from few days.
Boyfriend: Sure, what is it?
Girlfriend: Do you still feel the same way about me?
Boyfriend: Where is this coming from all of a sudden?
Girlfriend: You know its not all of a sudden. We don’t talk the same way. You try to avoid talking to me by making some excuses. You promise to text me later, but you just get so busy. Is there something that is bothering you?
Boyfriend: I don’t know. I mean, I don’t think this long distance thing is working anymore. It’s like we are in a virtual relationship. And now that I am placed so far, how are we supposed to meet?
Girlfriend: We can figure out something, I can visit you once in a while and you can come here sometimes. And once I am done with my graduation maybe I can move in with you.
Boyfriend: You still have 2 years left for your graduation. That’s quite a long time.
Girlfriend: So what are you suggesting, that we breakup? Just forget everything and move on. Forget how much I love you, Is it that simple for you?
Boyfriend: No, its not simple for me too. But that’s the wise option. I don’t want any fights while I am at my new job. I don’t want any kind of frustration.And maybe even you’ll find someone better, who can be there with you when you need him.
Girlfriend: I don’t want someone better, I want you. Many couples are in long distance relationship and they work it out just fine. Even we can do it.
Boyfriend: I don’t think so. I am sorry but I think this is the end of our story.
Girlfriend: Just tell me something, do you still like me?
Boyfriend: It doesn’t matter anymore.
Girlfriend: It does to me, I need to know that you were with me because you liked me, not because you pitied me.
Boyfriend: I never wanted to hurt your feelings and I don’t know the answer to this question. Maybe we don’t have that spark anymore.
Girlfriend: Well, I got my answer. Take care and goodbye.
And just like that, it was over. As much as love make you float in the skies, it can also put you down to dumps just as quickly.
When I was in love, it was the most beautiful experience ever. Waking up to his morning text, looking at his cute morning face and thinking how did I get so lucky, complaining to him about my day while he listened patiently and the feeling when he kissed me and said, “don’t worry, tomorrow will be better”, was just awesome. I couldn’t be anymore happy.
But when the routine breaks, and the person with whom you started your mornings and ended nights is no more with you, that hurts. Hell!! It doesn’t just hurt , it sucks the life out of you. You wake up feeling emotionally weak and physically drained. All you want to do is, stay curled up in your bed and never face the world. So it’s not love that hurts, its loving the wrong person does. It’s the feeling of loneliness that traumatize you when that person leaves you.
